Nomads and adventures, art-lovers and foodies rejoice! Get ready to unleash your inner adverturer as we unveil the top five fun-filled activities you can ONLY find in Lynnwood. If you’re traveling to the Seattle area and looking for a unique experience, here’s a peek at just a handful of the Lynnwood’s one-of-a-kind activities!

Visit the Pacific Northwest’s Favorite Indoor/Outdoor Mall

One of the top retail destinations in the Pacific Northwest, the Alderwood Mall boasts over 1.3 million square feet of shopping and dining space in walkable open-air space. In addition to nearly 170 stores and a 16-screen movie theater, the food options are endless—and many of the restaurants are part of Lynnwood’s Best Bites Pass.

Take a Dive

With over 44,000 square feet of fun, this may be the coolest recreation center in the region. For a start, the pool offers two water slides, a lazy river, water playground and a family hot tub. Plus, there’s a sauna, full gym, stone reflexology path (ease your aching body here!), racquetball courts, dance classes (including belly and hula!), and much more. It’s fun for the whole family, all year round.

Spin and Skate

A local institution, Lynnwood Bowl & Skate has been helping people have fun since 1956. Take a whirl on the largest indoor maple skating rink in Washington state and make sure to peep the mural of the Seattle skyline painted by commercial artist and roller-skating coach Dona Ely in 1971. If bowling’s more your thing, you’ve got 24 lanes to choose from here. Plus, both the rink and lanes feature arcades with regularly rotating games. Get your fill of retro activities here!

Explore Lynnwood’s Rich History

Want to learn more about Lynnwood? Take look back at the early days of Lynnwood at Heritage Park. You can learn about how the city evolved from the community of Alderwood Manor in 1919, and explore heritage exhibits, including a car from the former Interurban Railway! Bring a picnic and savor the flavors on the scenic park grounds.

Take a Walk through a Native Forest

Sure, you can see trees basically anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. But can you find 22 acres of preserved native forest in the middle of a city, and then hit up a skate park, playground, picnic shelters and more? Lynndale Park is a serene, spectacular park. Wander deeper into the trees and you’ll find an amphitheater where you can watch Shakespeare in the Park performances each summer.

Sip Award-Winning Spirits

This one’s just for the grown-ups. Owned and operated by PNW natives AJ and Jamie Temple, the Temple Distilling company recently opened their new and improved tasting room. Sip their award-winning small-batch spirits and monthly cocktail specials with a view directly into the distillery and their gin-making operation.  Private tastings and tours are also available if you’d like to make your trip to Lynnwood’s best distillery even more special.

Take some time to explore these places and activities right in Lynnwood, and remember, you can always find fun nearby!
