The Cascade Symphony Orchestra and Edmonds Waterfront Center continue their chamber music series this spring with a special concert featuring Northwestern Winds, a renowned wind quintet whose members have performed with major symphonies, operas, and ballet companies across the U.S. The program includes works by Franz Danzi, Paul Taffanel, and selections from Puccini’s La Bohème.
Also performing is the Cascade Percussion Ensemble, founded in 1995 by Ian Alvarez. This group unites percussionists from the Cascade Symphony and Youth Symphony, with many alumni earning music scholarships and teaching throughout the Northwest. They have been featured on KING-FM and at regional chamber music events.
The concert takes place in the Edmonds Waterfront Center’s main hall overlooking Puget Sound. Tickets are $15 general admission and $5 for students, available through the ECA box office or at the door.
