Sink your teeth in!
BREAKFAST, BURGERS, AND BLOODY MARYS
Its official name is B3 Breakfast & Burger Bar, but around here, we mostly just call it B3. After starting your day off in this open, airy, inviting breakfast and brunch spot, you just might end up calling it “Number 1”. Feel free to choose from robust breakfast and burger menus, or sample a bit of both. You can even enjoy vegetarian and vegan dishes here. The generous and delicious Eggs Benedict is especially popular. Like your big breakfast to pack an extra punch? You’ve come to the right place. B3 offers a full bar, including a variety of tasty mimosas and the house’s beloved Bloody Marys, along with strong regional coffee.
ESCAPE TO THE LAKE
Want to walk off that fantastic-but-filling breakfast? We know just the spot. Located in the warm heart of Lynnwood, Scriber Lake Park is a quiet, peaceful, impossibly pretty natural refuge. Take your time here and explore the 25 acres of wetlands, ponds, streams, forest, hillsides, and of course, Scriber Lake itself. The cozy resort is long gone, but just about a mile in length, the Lake-looping nature trail is the ideal spot to break up the early leg of your foodie journey. There’s even a fun floating boardwalk, constructed from green materials, that replaced the lake’s original dock. So why not follow the path down to the lake, take a seat on an art-accented boardwalk bench, and digest it all?
LICK YOUR CHOPS
Worked up an afternoon appetite? Sink your teeth into Korean-Mexican fusion food. CHOPS is a wildly popular lunch hot spot that continually earns rave reviews. Seattle-area writers at top foodie site Eater gush over the Flaming Boar and Soba Loco. From tasty bowls to crispy tacos to “Asian burritos” aka “bulgorritos” (there’s even a seafood-centric one called the Kraken), you’ll find extensive options—and reasons to come back and dig in again. Like a lot of top spots in Lynnwood, CHOPS is located adjacent to the sprawling, yet charming Alderwood Mall.
YOUR HOMEWOOD AWAY FROM HOME
After a day of good food and fun, why not relax and loosen your belt at Homewood Suites by Hilton Lynnwood? Offering everything you could ever want to end—or begin—an adventure around town or in downtown Seattle. Enjoy all the comfort and convenience of a spacious suite. Relax and indulge in the hotel’s complimentary sunrise breakfast and evening socials, Monday through Thursday night. If a craving sneaks up on you, Alderwood Mall is just a short stroll away where you can find goodies like bubble tea and waffles, coffee, and enough retail therapy to keep you busy for days.
Start the day right, with some edible art at Zuri’s Gourmet Donutz owner Davis Vincent has a simple donut-making philosophy. “If you can get it anywhere, then it’s boring.” Zuri’s creates, crafts, and serves up unique and unforgettable donut varieties like Margarita Old Fashioned, Chicken-and-Waffles, and Dragon Fruit-Glazed. Take your time to make your selection. After all, another slogan Vincent swears by (in fact, he calls it the house rule) is “Take your time.” Don’t see something you want? Go ahead and request a custom donut order. Zuri’s has even been known to whip up an Eggnog Old Fashioned—complete with a shot of bourbon. That’s right, folks. This isn’t your kids’ boring old donut shop. Not even close.
GET YOUR SKATE ON
How about a fun way to start the new day? Lace up your skates for a fast-paced, or slow and easy skate at Lynnwood Ice Center, the premier public ice skating facility in the entire Northwest. Here, you’ll find a fun and spacious place that’s welcoming to ice skaters and hockey players of all levels. So go ahead, hit the ice sheet and do a few figure eights.
YEH. YEH. YEAH!
There’s yet another white-hot foodie spot in town. Actually, there are several. At Yeh Yeh’s Vietnamese Sandwiches, you’ll enjoy a counter-service eatery that specializes in award-winning, rave-inducing banh mi sandwiches and authentic Vietnamese pho. Sandwiches are served on delicious fresh baguettes and topped with pickled vegetables, cilantro, and chili sauce. From grilled pork to lemongrass chicken to tofu and even a fusion pastrami banh mi, you really can’t go wrong here.
ANOTHER KIND OF PLATTER
If you're into unique food finds, we have a hunch you might like to sink your teeth into some delicious and rare music, too. Step into Silver Platters for a treasure trove of vinyl records, CDs and even DVDs. Find hidden gems, genres of all varieties, and see if they have that special album you've been searching for. The staff is friendly, and the music is tasteful, so make sure to bring your appetite for music when you visit Lynnwood.
SIP HAND CRAFTED BREWS
Before you run home to your turntable, bring your taste buds (and any new friends you've met along the way) by low-key Nun-chucks brewing where you can take your mouth on a tour of a seasonal selection of local-made rotating taps like "Nun Duh Wiser" and "Stout Confessions". Make sure to grab some souvenir Nun Chucks swag before you go!
